Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer Simmba is setting new benchmarks at the box office. Apart from the domestic market, the film is doing phenomenal business in the international circuits as well. Till now, the commercial entertainer has grossed Rs 216.43 crore (nett Rs 173.15 crore) in India and Rs 68.76 crore at the overseas box office. It currently stands with the grand total of Rs 285.19 crore and will enter the Rs 300 crore club today.

Simmba has turned out to be the eighth consecutive Rs 100 crore film of director Rohit Shetty after Golmaal 3, Bol Bachchan, Singham, Dilwale, Golmaal Again, Chennai Express and Singham Returns. Talking about the film, Ranveer said: "I had never done this kind of out and out masala entertainer -- a kind of movie I had always wanted to do. I'm extremely grateful to the audience for the love they have showered on my performance and on the film. It is encouraging and truly humbling. It has been an absolutely incredible year for me, and the success of 'Simmba' makes it an ideal way to end the year on a huge, huge high."
Produced under the banners of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty Picturez, the film also features Sonu Sood, Siddharth Jadhav and Vaidehi Parshurami in pivotal roles.
