The trailer of Sonchiriya will be out tomorrow. It is the first of Sushant Singh Rajput's releases in 2019 followed by Drive, Chhichhore and Kizie Aur Manny. Sonchiriya is set in the badlands of Madhya Pradesh's Chambal district, which was famous for its dacoits. The film is set in the 1970's. Sushant has described the shooting for the film as the most interesting experience so far in his character. In fact, his first look left social media awestruck as no one expected such a transformation. Bhumi will also be seen as a dacoit. Acting powerhouses like Manoj Bajpayee, Ashutosh Rana and Ranvir Shorey are also in the film. Abhishek Chaubey who is known for his films like Ishqiya and Udta Punjab is the director.
The teaser of the film came out on December 7, 2018 while the first look of Sushant was out in July. The actor had told IANS, "Shooting for Abhishek Chaubey s film is on full swing. I came here in Chambal early to do a bit of warm-up for the film. Visiting ravines, talking to locals, working on dialect and inflection and a bit of cut-off from everything before the shoot helps keep the right things in perspective."
