The third song from Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan-starrer cop drama, Simmba, has finally dropped. Titled Aala Re Aala, the song is crooned by Dev Negi and Goldi. It is penned by Shabbir Ahmed and composed by Tanishk Bagchi, needless to say, the song is a visual treat for the audiences. However, we are slightly disappointed as the makers did not focus on the main, 'Aala Re Aala', background score which is more upbeat. Only Ranveer Singh is the saving grace of this track as he is the life of this one. Also, Aala Re Aala did remind us of the song, Kashmir Tu Main Kanyakumari, from Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express, all because of the backdrop. Aala Re Aala hasn't surpassed our expectations, because we did expect it to be the next chartbuster. Long story short, the song is average and you wouldn't mind shaking a leg or two while listening to this one.
"AALA RE AALA!!! SIMMBA AALA!!! ?http://bit.ly/AalaReAala-Simmba," wrote Ranveer while sharing the song with his fans on Twitter.
BL Verdict: Don't know about you guys, but Aala Re Aala, as promised by the makers, didn't take us by storm.
While this is what we think, let us know your thoughts about the new song from Rohit Shetty's Simmba by tweeting @bollywood_life. Produced under Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Simmba is all set to release on December 28.
