Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got married on December 1-2 in Jodhpur at Umaid Bhawan. And today, she changed her name to Priyanka Chopra Jonas. She is now officially Mrs Jonas. We were not sure and had been speculating if the actress would change her name or not as fellow actress Deepika Padukone, who got married to Ranveer Singh just before her, didn't do so. Priyanka wore a red Sabyasachi lehenga for her Hindu wedding after which a bride traditionally changes her name, incorporating her husband s surname in it. She also had a Christian wedding and wore a white custom-made Ralph Lauren gown to it. A source had revealed to Bombay Times, "The day dawned with a breakfast programme from 7 am to 11 am at Rizala the restaurant inside Umaid Bhawan. Post that, it was time for the traditional haldi-chooda ceremony, which was slated to take place at 12.30 pm, at the Mardana Hall at the venue. The theme was 'pink, orange and purple' for guests and the decor was beautiful. - with traditional gendaphool (marigolds) all around. There was a lavish spread for lunch at the Rathod Hall." The source had further added, "Priyanka wore a Sabyasachi ensemble and she looked stunning. Designer Sabyasachi was also seen helping her with her ensemble before the function."
