Katrina Kaif will be looking at ending the year on a good note. After her not-so-successful stint in Thugs of Hindostan, the actress will now be seen in Zero. The film also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. As seen in the trailer, Katrina plays the role of an actress named Babita. While her role seems glamourous, the actress told Mumbai Mirror that it was not an easy role for her to portray. Katrina explained that Babita comes from a deeply sad space which she did not enjoy going into.
Katrina elaborated, "The work was inspiring and challenging, but personally, it was not a fun place to go to. After a 10-day or a two-week schedule, we d take a break, and when I got back to the set, I d confess to Aanand sir that I didn t want to go back to the deeply sad space from where Babita s obnoxious behaviour was stemming. He d nod saying, I know mere bachche, but kar na." The actress also shared that Aanand helped them bring out their best in the movie.
When the actress was asked what would she do if ever she went into that dark space in her real life, she said, I think all of us have. But whenever I was going through tough times, and there have been quite a few, I think of maybe a mother of four who is going through a messy divorce and still has to go to work where she won t be pampered like us, and that has helped me carry on, knowing I m not alone."
Wow, that s heavy. Zero is not going to be a complete joyride and we re already getting the Aanand L Rai vibe from the movie. The film is slated to release on December 21 and two of its songs Mere Naam Tu and Issaqbaazi, have already become favourites of fans.
