It has been more than two years since Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande called it quits. However, it became evident that things are cordial between the ex-couple when he posted a comment on her picture as Jhalkaribai from Manikarnika, which was shared by casting director Mukesh Chhabra on his Instagram account. Sushant wrote, "It looks absolutely great, Ankita. I'm extremely happy to see this. May God bless you with lots of success and happiness." Reading this, Ankita replied, "Thank You Sushant and I wish you the same." This mature yet polite conversation was applauded by their fans, who still adore them as a couple. This chat on social media went viral and was covered by all news portals.
Last night, on the red carpet Sushant was asked if he personally called up Ankita after seeing her look. The actor replied that his conversations on the digital media were personal and literal. He also said that he liked her look straight from the heart. Check out the video below...

Ankita plays the role of Jhalakaribai, who is the aide of Rani Lakshmibai in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The actress makes her debut in Bollywood with this film. After the couple's much-publicized split in May 2016, Sushant had tweeted that she was not an 'alcoholic' nor was he a 'womaniser' as speculations suggested. He wrote that it was unfortunate that they had drifted apart as people, which led to the breakup. Sushant's films Kedarnath is doing steady business at the box office.
