Emraan Hashmi is here to cheat you and everyone else in India with Cheat India. The actor, who was last seen in Baadshaho, is playing a businessman whose intention is to earn money by cheating. The trailer was released recently revealing that the actor s role in the movie isn t interested in leaking papers. Instead he placed well-read but underprivilege students to appear in place of brats in exams and earn a living.
While the concept is rather interesting, the new poster took us back into time. The new art work features Emraan holding up a bundle of notes. Half the bundle is pulled back and a college campus is set up in it.
If that hasn t caught your attention, we d suggest you pull out your microscope and look closely. Notice something? No? Fine, let us give you some perspective. The notes used in the poster are of Rs 1000. Still doesn t ring a bell?
These notes are not in use anymore. Ever since the government brought in the demonetised in 2016, the Rs 1000 notes have been pulled back. So why is Emraan using the notes in the poster? It simply means that the movie is set in the early 2000s.
The poster also features the tagline of the movie: Nakal Mein Akal Hai.

While the movie is about cheating, Bollywood Life recently had a candid conversation with Emraan and asked him he had cheated during the course of his studies. "I have cheated in my SYBCom's Economics paper. It was a tough subject for me. And I was caught cheating too. But my professor let me go with a warning to not to carry the textbook next time, he had shared.
