The mega-budget venture continued to dominate the box office for the third time in a row and is holding the top spot at the ticket windows. On the second spot, we have DC's Aquaman, which is turning out to be a visual treat for the audience. The superhero has impacted the business of many Bollywood film is expected to hold well in the weekdays.

Vikram Prabhu and Hansika Motwani's Thuppakki Munai debuted at the third spot at the Chennai box office. The action-thriller has opened to negative reviews and it seems that the film will struggle to survive at the ticket windows. The computer-animated Hollywood venture Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has taken the fourth position in its opening weekend at the in the southern market. Despite not being promoted heavily, it seems that film has found its place in the top five due to Spider-Man's popularity among the kids.
