Despite the release of Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan's Kedarnath, director Shankar's 2.0 continues its phenomenal run at the box office. In 10 days, the film has earned Rs 154.75 crore and today it will cross the lifetime business of Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani starrer Baaghi 2 (Rs 165.50 crore) to become the fourth highest grosser of the year after Sanju, Padmaavat and Race 3.

A sequel to Shankar's 2010 blockbuster Enthiran, 2.0 has been produced by Lyca Productions and was released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi on November 29. Earlier this week, Lyca Productions revealed that the film grossed a whopping Rs 400 crore in its opening weekend worldwide. Apart from the lead cast, the film also stars Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey in pivotal roles. Karan Johar has presented the Hindi version of 2.0 under his banner Dharma Productions. Apparently, it is the first Indian film, which is entirely shot in 3D. The film has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark at the worldwide box office and became the third film to achieve this feat after Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju and Ranveer Singh's Padmaavat. The makers of the film, Lyca Productions recently announced that 2.0 will be released in 47000 plus 3D screens making it biggest foreign release in the Chinese market.
