2.0 Box Office Report: This Rajinikanth-starrer witnesses a huge rise in the second week – see numbers

We are into the second week of the release of 2.0 and numbers from the box office are spectacular. After earning a gross collection of more than Rs 400 crore in less than a week, the Sunday of the second week witnessed a huge rise in the numbers for 2.0. In Chennai, 2.0 earned a gross collection of Rs 1.52 crore taking the total in the city to a whopping Rs 18.41 crore. This makes it the highest ever grosser for Rajinikanth, surpassing his previous films like Kaala and Kabali. Collectively, 2.0 stands at a gross collection of Rs 603 crore approximately and stands only next to Baahubali. Experts predict that the numbers may witness a rise in the coming days owing to the holidays, especially in Tamil. See all the numbers here:

Directed by Shankar, 2.0 is a sequel to the 2010 release Enthiran and features Rajinikanth in lead role. Bollywood's Akshay Kumar plays a pivotal role in the film and is receiving great appreciation from all corners. Post release, the venture has been garnering a positive response from audience and critics, turning out to be a superhit film. Trade experts predict that 2.0, going by the run, will soon surpass the records set by the magnum opus Baahubali and will emerge as the biggest film in India. 2.0 is now being released in China and will be screened at as many as 47,000 screens across the country. Rajinikanth enjoys a huge following in China and this will boost the collection numbers for this sci-fi flick.
