While Karan Johar has shared a poster of the movie along with a heartfelt message that says, A film I absolutely loved writing...My father's last release....an immortal melody and an incredible cast and crew...I love you so much #KalHoNaaHo it s been 15 years..., the film s fans are just reliving all the touching as well as funny moments from it. In 2015, Shah Rukh Khan had revealed that he never let his kids watch the actual end of the movie where he breathes his last as he didn t want them to be traumatised. He had mentioned that Karan Johar made sure the edits for SRK's kids had the actor fly away in the ending. # The dolls in Gia s doll house were styled by Preity Zinta herself as she wanted the dolls to look like the miniature versions of the people in Gia s life.
# Shah Rukh Khan initially wanted Salman Khan to play his part in the movie as he had been suffering from severe back injury at the time. But director Nikkhil Advani and co-producer Karan Johar postponed the shooting schedule by 9 months so that Shah Rukh could fully recover and finish the filming.
# This movie was initially supposed to be called Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna but after Johar heard a song titled Aisa Milan Kal Ho Naa Ho from the Kajol-Saif starrer Hamesha, he changed his mind.
# Karan bought the rights to redo Pretty Woman for the film after they got into trouble for using It s Raining Men in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.
