As you know, Sushant Singh Rajput has the most number of releases in 2019. He has 5 films that will hit the theatres next year and one of them is Sonchiriya. This film sees him as a dacoit, a character he is playing for the first time in his career. The first picture of the actor in the garb of a dacoit gave us the chills - it was raw, earthy and very real. Today, the teaser of the film has been released and it made it evident that this Abhishek Chaubey film will be as brutal as a dacoit drama can get. What we liked the most about the teaser is the way it presented all the characters and didn't focus just on the main leads. So Manoj Bajpayee, who plays the gang leader, will immediately remind you of his role in Bandit Queen. It's as if he has been promoted to lead the gang now after he has become old. Then, there's Ranveer Shorey as well. Bhumi Pednekar's one glimpse makes you believe she is ready to deliver yet another powerful role. Speaking about his releases, Sushant had informed an entertainment portal, "I take up roles that I feel I would fail in and then it becomes like a challenge for me to outdo myself. My philosophy of success in life is to find different ways of failing, I would fail three to four times but the fifth time when I succeed it would be my personal experience, it would help me emerge as a person."
