Is there going to be yet another Bollywood wedding that we must prepare for in 2019? Well, we re not sure about a wedding but the word in the street is that we might have to gear up for an engagement announcement. Who are we talking about? Now that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have tied the knot and Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are also married, we are talking about Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor who got everyone jumping after they confirmed that they were dating. And it seems like they are going to keep the media on the edge of the seat by announcing their engagement.
While the couple hasn t uttered a word about their future plans, the buzz doing the rounds suggests Alia and Ranbir could get engaged in the June this year. As per Mumbai Mirror s sources, Alia and Ranbir might change their relationship status this year all thanks to Ranbir s mother Neetu Kapoor.
The newspaper reports that Neetu is insisting the duo at least get engaged, if not tie the knot this year. But the couple has other plans. While everyone is speculating about another Bollywood wedding this year, but it is being reported that the couple plans on waiting it out, at least until their upcoming film together is released.
The report further states that given Ranbir s attachment to his mother, it is possible that Neetu would manage to convince Ranbir for the roka. Only time will tell what holds for the couple this year.
Meanwhile, things have been heating up between Alia and Ranbir lately. The couple has been spotted spending time with each other s family at several occasions. Most recently, Alia was seen ringing in 2019 with the Kapoor family in New York.
On the work front, Alia prepares for the release of Gully Boy, following which she will be seen in Brahmastra opposite Ranbir.
