A source informed the leading daily that film is likely to be a bilingual project. It is expected to be made into several parts. The film is said to be an adaption of Kalki Krishnamurthy s popular historical novel Ponniyin Selvan (The Son of Ponni) which has five volumes that narrates the story of Arulmozhivarman who was crowned as Rajaraja Chola I during the 10th and 11th century. Word is that the film will be announced on January 14.

Meanwhile, Sr Bachchan currently has Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra lined up which stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, and Nagarjuna.
