BARC Report, Week 1 2019: The Kapil Sharma Show opens brilliantly beats Bigg Boss 12's grand finale

It looks like the majority of the Indian audience spent their New Year watching TV. We don't blame them. From the first episode of The Kapil Sharma Show to the telecast of the Star Screen Awards and Bigg Boss 12 finale, there was a lot to watch on TV. Well, the big news is that all these specials gave a damn defeat to all the daily soaps. And Naagin 3 also saw a huge slide, which could be worrisome. Zee TV's Kundali Bhagya was the No.1 daily show. With The Kapil Sharma Show and Super Dancer Chapter 3 Auditions opening so well, the channel also has to rejoice about. Here is the detailed look...

Top 10 shows (Urban)

The telecast of the first award show of the year, Star Screen Awards got 9.1 million impressions viewership. It was followed by The Kapil Sharma Show that took a staggering opening. This should put an end to any doubts about Kapil Sharma's popularity. It got 8.1 million impressions. Another feather in the cap for the channel was Super Dancer Chapter 3 Auditions that got 7.6 million impressions viewership. The only fiction show in the top five was Zee TV's Kundali Bhagya. The grand finale of Bigg Boss 12 got 6.2 million impressions viewership. It was followed by Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Naagin 3 was on the seventh place. We guess the track is not being liked as much. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Kumkum Bhagya and Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki completed the top ten list.
