Rajinikanth's Petta is getting immense love from the audience. Fans just cannot stop praising Karthik Subbaraj for giving Rajinikanth the perfect fil that does justice to his superstar swag. It has reminded them of hits like Baasha, Padayappa and Sivaji. In the film, Rajinikanth plays the part of a hostel warden who has a dark past. The film is also Nawazuddin Siddiqui's entry into the world of Tamil cinema. We told you that excitement for the film was huge in all countries where Rajinikanth has a huge fanbase. Well, it is doing wonderfully well in the US. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted that it has already crossed $502K at the US box office.

Petta is being described as a one-man show by all. People are loving the vintage avatar of the actor. Even Ajith's film is going solid and it is a perfect festival film as described by the critics. Of late, quite a few films have beaten Hindi films at the foreign box office. Some of the best examples are Bhaagamathie, Rangasthalam and Aravindha Sametha.
