Yesterday morning we woke up to the shocking news of YouTuber and Ace Of Space contestant Danish Zehen's sudden demise. The entire industry was taken aback with the reports. BollywoodLife got in touch with Zehen's good friend Riya Subodh who was also a participant in the show. India's Next Top Model winner spoke about all the speculations and conjectures around Zehen's death. Subodh revealed that she found about the news when she was at the airport to catch a flight to Ahmedabad. "Around 5:45 am I checked my Instagram and the first post was of Vikas (Gupta, who also hosts the reality show)," she said, talking about the time when she found out about the news after scanning through the comment sections. She tried calling Danish and his manager, but none of them were reachable. "I had his cousin s number then he told me the entire incident. I lost my calm and broke down at the airport. I was crying profusely and also missed my flight," she reveals, adding that Danish was quite close to her as he was also her roommate in the show. "We used to sit at night together for at least 2 hrs and share everything about life and I also used to do his makeup," she choked.

On social media, speculations are rife that the accident occurred as Zehen was driving and making videos. A video of him before the accident is also going viral, wherein he is not wearing a seatbelt. On this Subodh says, "Oh God! I have no comments at this time because I m in a very sad place, I ve just lost my dear friend. As and when details come out we ll get to know, but as of now I m really shaken."

The reality starlet revisits the last time the two had a discussion. "On Tuesday (a day ago) he video called me. We had a discussion for 30 minutes. We also decided to meet on the finale of Ace Of Space. He also told me to catch up when he will be in Andheri and now..." she broke down.

Here's why Shaan doesn't want his son to sing professionally at the moment

Popular Indian singer Shaan, whose upcoming music video is titled "It's Natural", says one needs to be original -- as also adapt to change -- to make a mark in the industry.

"My upcoming latest is a video, 'It's Natural', coming out during Christmas. The way I look at it, singers need to be original to be able to make a mark in the industry," Shantanu Mukherjee, who took the stage name of Shaan when he stepped into showbiz, told IANS on the sidelines of Bhubaneswar.Fest (a cultural-cum-food fest) organised in tandem with the just-concluded Men's Hockey World Cup.

The "Woh Pehli Baar" singer, who has been judging reality shows, mentioned that singers like Jonita Gandhi and Armaan Mallik are doing really very well. He also spoke about YouTube talent hunt "ARRived" which he is co-judging with A.R. Rahman. The show is all about finding original voices and the finale is scheduled for December 21. Shaan, who has been singing and composing for a long time, appreciated the digital platform as one can reach out to a larger audience. He has his own YouTube channel and "Surilee" was his first single on it.

"Yes it has been a very long time and change is inevitable. I am happy to be a part of all the changes," the passionate composer, who may not have many Bollywood releases but is quite active with his singles, said.

He has lent his voice to all the big stars of Bollywood like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and many more.

Talking about competition in today, he jokingly said that the songs are good but it is just that he is not singing those. It would have been great had he done them, he added. Shaan's grandfather Jahar Mukherjee was a lyricist and his father Manas Mukherjee a music director.

"My father was a composer, my grandfather was a prolific classical singer. Hopefully, my children will be singing, then it will be this four generation of singers," the soulful singer said with a smile.

However, he won't encourage his son Shubh Mukherjee to take to singing as a profession at the moment.

"I started singing almost at the age of four but won't encourage my son to sing professionally at the moment. He is in his teens. His voice is changing, so he is learning classical music," the doting father said.

Shubh Mukherjee has already lent his voice to a song in the YRF web series "Sex Chat with Pappu & Papa" and also to the Hindi version of the title track of Disney's "Duck Tales".

His elder son Sohum Mukherjee is good with music production and is more into electronic music than Bollywood music, Shaan revealed. Soaking in the city's hockey frenzy, the singer revealed: "I have a hockey connection too. The school that I had studied in, St. Stanislaus High School, has produced many hockey players like Viren Rasquinha, among others."

During his gig, he also attempted the "Jai Hind, Hind India" hockey anthem composed by A.R. Rahman, along with his other hits like "Tanha dil", "Mai aisa kyun hu" and "All is well". The audience was also treated to his hit Odiya song "Sei borosa sei raate mone pore" (Do you remember that rainy night) that he sang almost 15 years ago.

NickYanka Reception: Katrina Kaif and Kajol left us baffled with their saree choices

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are having the time of their lives. The newlyweds tied the knot and walked down the aisle in a royal wedding(s) at the Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur. It was followed by a lavish wedding reception in Delhi which was attended by the couple's friends and family. Of course the Mumbai receptions that took place over two days topped the popularity list with the biggest names of B-town huddled under the same roof. From Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh to Karan Johar and the troop - it was certainly a star-studded night. (Also Read: Here're all the INSIDE VIDEOS of Nick Jonas trying to match steps with Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra and it's damn cute!)

But even amidst all the glam and glitter, there were a few celebrities who, it seems like, had a rough day before they turned up for the gala. Pardon the jibe, but with so many weddings and its shenanigans, you'd expect peeps to pick up a thing or two about surviving the shaadi season and most importantly, fashion. But like we said, 'NAY' was almost the instinctive reaction when we spotted a few faves. From Katrina Kaif and Kajol's saree (sorry) state of affair to Bhumi Pednekar and Tamannaah Bhatia's done-to-death lehengas, there were a lot of brow-raisers. Like that wasn't enough, Raveena Tandon dropped the bar further with her unflattering plum-coloured cocktail number. Don't believe us? See for yourself.

See what we are talking about? But apart from these hiccups Desi girl and her videsi munda danced their night away in glory. Even Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra took to the stage while everyone waited for the couple to arrive. She looked really happy to be at her daughter's wedding reception and one can totally see why.
