No love at first sight
Contrary to popular belief, Met Gala 2017 was not the event that brought the two together for the first time. As Nick Jonas revealed to IANS, "We met through a mutual friend who she did Quantico with, this guy Graham and we met up like in New York the first time and the same day I think we found out that we are both going to the MET gala with Ralph Lauren." So you can't really call Ralph Lauren the cupid... credit for that goes to Graham Rogers for sure.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas walked the red carpet together. The trail of PC's coat got a lot of attention which was taken off when she left for the after party. If that wasn't all, her poses with Jonas made the foreign media go berserk.
Since then, there were strong rumours that they were dating but PC squashed it in one sweep, when she dismissed it all saying, "We were both wearing Ralph Lauren and we decided to go together. It was fun. We were at the same table. I mean, we know each other so we were just like, 'Hey, let's go together,' and I was like, 'Okay, let's go together'. And is just ended up working out." We know we should have read between the lines right there but we gave them the benefit of doubt. Many must have worn Ralph Lauren that day, why didn't all of them go together. Just saying... but since PC was coming fresh out of another link up rumour with Tom Hiddleston, we thought it could be one of those as well. How wrong were we!
That's it! There was a distinct lull post that. Everyone moved on thinking it to be just another fable. And then it was May 2018 and it has never been the same again!

Priyanka Chopra spent the Memorial Day weekend with Nick Jonas and his friends. The way the actress snuggled up with Nick on the deck of a yacht made it clear that these two are an item for sure. That was the first confirmation of their relationship.

July is Priyanka Chopra's birthday month. We knew Nick Jonas would probably do something really special for her but we never thought that would involve a ring. Rumours say, Nick proposed to PC during her birthday dinner and she said yes! As People.Com, Jonas shut down a Tiffany & Co. store to get the perfect ring for her. After all, she wanted her man to equal the ring that her father had given her once. A toughie!

Priyanka took Nick to attend the engagement ceremony of Akash Ambani. It was said as PC's way of introducing Nick to everyone in the industry as her fiance.

Well, now all is left is the wedding.
