Britney Spears Circus Tour Updates
Surrounded by a huge array of tricks and extra players, jugglers, clowns, magicians, martial artists, acrobats and rings of fire, Britney Spears kicked off her Circus Tour at the nearly sold-out show in the 19,000-seat New Orleans Arena in Louisiana.
As the Ringmaster, Britney came out clad in fishnets, sparkles and a rhinestone encrusted bra and corset.
That was just the first of many costumes, but it set the pace for the show.
This was the kick off of her 44-concert tour.
She'll perform in 27 cities in the United States and then head to Europe in June.
Her last tour was the Onyx Hotel Tour back in 2004 that drew more than 600,000 fans and grossed $34.1 million.
Britney is next poised to play Atlanta on the 5th, and Miami on the 7th.
Tickets sales are strong with most of the shows sold out or close to it.
The Pussycat Dolls are the opening act.
44 concerts.
I really hope she's up to this.
I suppose like a lot of things with Britney, we'll have to wait and see.

Britney Spears' Circus Magic
It looks like Britney Spears is going all out with the stage show for her Circus Tour.
She's gonna have real magic, but with a high tech twist.
She's even hired a professional magician to pull off the tricks, "the Misfit of Magic" Ed Alonzo.
Wait a minute, wasn't he Max on Saved by the Bell?
Yes he was, but Ed is also an accomplished magician.
He's done Command Performances in London and has multiyear headline contracts in Las Vegas.
So Britney will get sawed in half, disappeared etc.
The Circus tour kicks off on March 3rd at the New Orleans Arena.
