Sonali Bendre is a fighter and there are no two ways about it. She was recently diagnosed with high-grade cancer and was undergoing treatment in New York for the same. Although it was shock and disbelief at first, fans are now just as hopeful as Sonali about her recovery. With heaps of good wishes and prayers, the actress is back in the bay and is still fighting the 'ugly C' with sunshine, one day at a time. Honestly, it has been reassuring to see stand strong in the face of adversity. In fact, she recently celebrated her birthday, as she turned her 44 and called for a celebration.
A small get together with her family and closest pals was hosted by hubby Goldi Behl and her hearty smile warmed the cockles of our heart. Not just that, Behl even shared a heartfelt post for his partner and it made us tear up. Sharing some cake and kiss, he wrote, "Happy birthday Sonali They say your partner needs to be your best friend, your sounding board, your mirror, your strength, your inspiration. You have been all that and more to me. 2018 was a tough year on you but I am so proud of the dignity and courage with which you handled it. Not only did you help me find my own strength, but you imparted that to every soul who followed your life closely. It is never easy to be at the receiving end and yet be so positive and spread so much love. Thank you for being the person you are. On your special day, I wish you all things wonderful, all things love, all things that bring a cheer to you through the year. Wonderful, isn't it? Earlier, in another post, she had mentioned that she is finally getting around to read new books which had been difficult owing to her weak eyesight and chemotherapy. Sonali if you are reading this, thank you for showing us how it's done. Wish you a speedy recovery.
