Sui Dhaaga, which released last September, had its world television premiere on Christmas Day. But the UK didn't find it worth giving up their Christmas revelry for. So, the premiere got a drab response. But the repeat telecast of the same on December 30 garnered a tremendous response. As per Biz Asia, the viewers count shot up from 27, 300 at 8 pm to 37,100 by the end of its runtime. The reason is pretty simple Christmas is a huge festival in the UK. After a Christmas Eve celebrations, families love to go out for dinners or house parties on that day. That's the reason why nobody stayed at home to check out the premiere of the film on December 25. But last Sunday of 2018 gave the viewers a chance to check out what the film was all about and it seems they loved it. The increase in viewership during the runtime of the film clearly proves that the UK loved it as much as us.
Sui Dhaaga explores the story of a man who not many think highly of. He is set in his own ways but after he marries a woman who gives wings to his dreams, the man manages to reach many heights. It truly defines the adage behind every successful man there's a woman. Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma's chemistry also made it worth a watch. It was subtle, sweet and inspiring.
The India numbers for Sui Dhaaga's television premiere are yet to be out and we are pretty sure it will be much better than the UK numbers.
