Ranveer Singh has literally been all over the entertainment business and we are just too happy for the newest superstar of Bollywood. Be it giving hits after hits like Padmavat and Simmba or getting married to the super gorgeous actress Deepika Padukone, Ranveer has been totally nailing it. He was recently seen rapping away like a pro while promoting his next film Gully Boy which stars Alia Bhatt opposite him and now the talented actor is already prepping for his next venture. Ranveer just posted this picture where he has started training to play Kapil Dev in the biopic on the cricket legend which is being directed by Kabir Khan.
Here's the picture:
In the picture, Ranveer is seen training with his cricket coach Balwinder Singh Sandhu, who was a part of the 1983 Indian cricket team along with Kapil Dev. The actor is seen mastering his strokes to make sure he can play Dev well. The actor was also seen today on the sets of the 83 with Kabir.
Here are some pictures of Ranveer and Kabir on the sets of the biopic:
We must say, the actor is on a roll and how! He has been working non-stop after Padmavat released as he had been shooting for Rohit Shetty's Simmba which has now become a blockbuster hit. Post that he took off briefly to get married to his long-time girlfriend Deepika and soon after, was seen promoting Rohit's film. While he rode high on it's success, his next film directed by Zoya Akhtar was already up for release and Ranveer was once again seen with the same energy at the film's promotional event. And now, without taking any breaks, the ever-enthusiastic actor has already begun preps for his next, which is the Kapil Dev biopic 83. And we are just floored by the amount of energy this guy has!
Meanwhile, reports had emerged a while back that Ranveer's real-life wife Deepika is being considered to play Kapil's life-partner Romi Bhatia. However, whether that has not yet been confirmed by the makers.
Helmed by Kabir Khan and bankrolled by Phantom Films, Vishnu Vardhan Induri of Vibri Media, Reliance Entertainment and Kabir Khan Films, 83 is the story of 14 men who brought about an epic moment in the history of Indian cricket by winning the World Cup in England. The winning squad comprised Kapil Dev, Mohinder Amarnath, Sunil Gavaskar, Kirti Azad, Yashpal Sharma, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Roger Binny, Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Sandeep Patil, Syed Kirmani, Madan Lal, Ravi Shastri, Dilip Vengsarkar and Sunil Valson, and their manager P R Man Singh.
