The hysteria around Rajinikanth s 2.0 may not die down soon going by the film s performance at the box office. After smashing existing records and creating new records, 2.0 has now achieved a new milestone at the box office. The Hindi version of 2.0 has now entered the Rs 100 crore club and becomes the first Akshay Kumar to do so in less than a week from release date. After the first weekend post release, Hindi version of 2.0 stood at Rs 97.25 crores. And now, right on the first day of first week post release, 2.0 Hindi goes past the 100-core mark and adds another feat to its list. 2.0 has already clocked more than Rs 400 crores worldwide which includes all the three languages. The Tamil version alone clocked more than Rs 100 crores just in two days and became the first ever Rajinikanth film to do so.

Directed by Shankar, 2.0 is the biggest film in Indian cinema in terms of budget. Made on a humongous budget of Rs 600 approximately, 2.0 is the first ever Indian film to be shot in 3D format and to have 4D sound design. With numerous records under the belt, this sci-fi thriller is now termed as a blockbuster hit in Indian cinema. 2.0 is sequel to the 2010 release Enthiran and stars Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in lead roles. The music of 2.0 is composed by A.R.Rahman and is receiving a special mention from audience.
