Christmas weekend will be a busy time for Indian audience with multiple options to choose from at the cinema halls. Shah Rukh Khan s Zero will hit the screens on December 21 and is touted to be the biggest release so far of the actor's career. Fans of the Badshah of Bollywood are quite kicked about the film since he will be seen playing a dwarf in the film for the first time in his career. Although it s backed by VFX, Shah Rukh appearing as a dwarf has already sent fans into a tizzy. However, SRK will not sail alone in December. Giving him tough competition is Kannada actor Yash with KGF, which is releasing in five languages simultaneously. KGF is being released by Farhan Akhtar in Bollywood which makes it a big film. Although the scale of Zero and KGF are quite different, the trailers of these films have raised the expectations of audience and they now expect both the films to be equally good. And the latest addition to the race is Dhanush who, today, announced that his upcoming film Maari 2 will also release on December 21. Interesting!

Shah Rukh Khan enjoys a huge fan following in the Southern part of India in cities like Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad and Zero will have a bigger release in this region as well. But the box office performance may take a hit because of Yash s KGF and Dhanush-starrer Maari 2 since their audience base are these cities. As they say, may the best film win!
