After the record-breaking opening of over Rs 50 crore, Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan witnessed a drastic dip in the collections and ended up its theatrical run around Rs 150 crore at the box office. The debacle of this mega-budget adventure film has turned out to be an advantage for Ayushmann Khurrana's Badhaai Ho, which is enjoying its phenomenal run at the ticket windows.

Till now, the light-hearted family entertainer has earned Rs 132.35 crore, which means it has the potential to surpass the business of TOH but since Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth's 2.0 is hitting the screens this Friday, Ayushmann's film will lose its maximum screens. Apparently it has beaten Thugs of Hindostan at the overseas box office, especially in the key markets of Australia and Canada. Badhaai Ho has become the first film of Ayushmann Khurrana to cross the Rs 200 crore mark while Sanya has achieved this milestone before with Dangal. After achieving such a great milestone, Sanya expressed her happiness and said, "I'm ecstatic that Badhaai Ho has crossed Rs. 200 Cr. While I always knew that the film would appeal to the audience the overwhelming response has left me surprised. It has been a very rewarding experience to receive such kind of love and appreciation from the audience .
