After being quite traditional at her Konkani - Sindhi weddings and Bangalore receptions, Deepika Padukone finally embraced a bit of quirk at the wedding party thrown by Ranveer Singh's sister Ritika Bhavnani. Well, she wore a Sabyasachi lehenga named Dil Guldusta from the designer's Kesri Bai Pannalal Collection. This lehenga is one of the most colourful and prettiest in the line, which is inspired by everything vintage. In an Insta post, Sabyasachi described the lehenga as one, which is intricately embroidered on Bordeaux silk with hand-dyed velvet appliques, silk-floss, beaten silver and gold thread and rose-tinted crystals and rhinestones.
The model in the picture shared by Sabyasachi was accessorized with jewellery from the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry Collection and Deepika has worn the same. The outfit is completed with a sheer diaphanous, embroidered veil. Deepika stayed true to the designer's original concept shoot for the collection by opting for kohl-ed eyes and flowers in the hair. The floral tiara reminds us of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo who was known for her creative genius and independent thinking. Even the model has a floral tiara.
Well, the look is surely too artistic and might not appeal to everyone's sensibility but surely the diva wanted that bit of quirk in the look. Ranveer Singh said that he was happy that she chose this dress and hairdo. He was dressed in a glittering jacket. Stay tuned to BL for more updates!
