After Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Bigg Boss 11s Hina Khan is set for her Bollywood debut

TV's Hina Khan is on a roll! The TV actress rose to fame courtesy her stint as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. However, her popularity double folded post her participation in the controversial reality series Bigg Boss. The actress came as a runner-up in the 11th season of the series. She became the fashionista of the year and was in the top league. Then came her shocking casting in Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay. What came as a surprise was that Khan who has donned a bahu's garb before was set to become a vamp. And that too not just a random vamp but an iconic one - Komolika. Now if the latest reports in Bombay Times are to be believed, Khan is ready for her big screen debut as well.

A source told the daily, "Hina will soon begin shooting for a film, in which she will play a responsible and independent girl. The story is set in Kashmir in the 90s. Veteran actress Farida Jalal will play her grandmother. Directed, Hussain Khan, the movie is written by Rahat Kazmi and Shakti Singh. Rahat is also the producer of the project.

Hina confirmed her debut with the daily. The actress said, " It s a female-centric story. I also love the fact that it s set in a time and place, where we are away from the hustle and bustle of city life, technology, daily rush and competition. I am also thrilled about challenging myself in a brand new medium. It is this project for which Hina was learning bike riding. She was seen practicing to ride on the streets at night.

Her character from Kasautii is missing since some days, which has also led to several fans lashing out. To this, she replied, " I had prior commitments and the production house was informed about it before I was even signed on to play Komolika. Since the show hasn t even completed six months, the makers didn t want my track to start and then disappear for a bit. I will start shooting for the show immediately after my film s shoot.
