There are numerous theories doing rounds about RRR which is Rajamouli's ambitious directorial and features Tollywood top stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan in lead roles. The shooting of the film went on floor recently and is aimed to be released in 2020, reports reveal. While few reports suggest that the film would be a period drama and will have the two stars playing brothers, other reports reveal that the film will be a pre-independence era story with one of the stars playing a police officer in the premise. However, emerging reports have a different perspective to the story of RRR. News has it that the Jr NTR and Ram Charan will be seen playing friends in the 1930s and will have a reincarnation theme to it. Reportedly, Ram Charan and Jr NTR will take birth again in the 2000s and will turn out to be friends again. While this may sound like the premise of Rajamouli's 2007 blockbuster hit Magadheera, it is being reported that the narrative of this story would be totally different.

The film is yet to be titled and is being referred to as RRR (Rajamouli-Ram Charan-Rama Rao), the lead trio. The makers are yet to reveal the female lead actresses in the film, but reports reveal that Keerthy Suresh may be signed on to play one of the leading ladies which is yet to be officially confirmed. The film is said to have minimal VFX works when compared to the mammoth Baahubali since the premise would have a pre-independence backstory as well.
