These numbers are from the Indian markets and collections from overseas markets including the huge markets in North America are yet to be reported. According to trade experts, it is noticed that the day 2 has picked up and is doing better than the first day at the box office for Simmba. In Mumbai, the day time and the noon shows are faring better than the first day shows and are expected to witness to shoot up as the positive talk about the film spreads. Simmba stands as the highest opener in Ranveer Singh's career after Padmaavat and Bajirao Mastani.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Simmba features Ranveer Singh as a corrupt cop who doesn't hesitate to take the incorrect way to make some quick bucks. Simmba is the remake of Telugu hit film Temper which had Jr NTR playing the lead role. The original was directed by Puri Jagannadh and is one of the biggest hits in Telugu cinema and Jr NTR's career. Simmba also stars Sara Ali Khan as the leading lady which was played by Kajal Aggarwal in the original. Sonu Sood is seen playing the antagonist in Simmba which was played by Prakash Raj in the original.
