Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty has not been doing well health-wise for a while. In 2018, he was seen judging the dance reality show that he has been a part of for a long time. However, the latest update coming with regards to the actor is that he has been not keeping well. Bollywood Life has heard that the actor is currently in LA recuperating after undergoing medical treatment for an illness. The 66-year-old has been apparently suffering from a chronic backache issue for a few years now. A reliable source has informed, "Since the past few months his back issue aggravated and he was not keeping well due to this. The family then decided to take him to LA for treatment. He was even hospitalized for a few days."
BollywoodLife has learnt that Chakraborty, along with his son Mahaakshay Chakraborty and daughter-in-law Madalsa Sharma, is in Los Angeles and is getting his treatment done. A close family member, under the condition of anonymity, confirmed that the actor is in LA and is doing well now.
In 2016 as well, Chakraborty had to fly down to LA due to the same reason. For those who might not be aware, the actor's back started giving him trouble after he performed a stunt in his movie Luck. The 2009's release starred Imran Khan, Shruti Haasan and Sanjay Dutt in the leads. In a stunt, the actor had to jump from a flying helicopter. However, a miscalculated step by Mithun Da led to the injury. Since then, he has been suffering from the backache.
In 2018, the actor was seen in Anil Sharma's Genius wherein he played an integral character. He will be next seen in a horror flick which is being directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
Our attempts to reach out to Mithun, Mahaakshay or Madalsa remained futile. But we hope for the veteran actor's speedy recovery and wish to see the dancing legend, hail and hearty, on the screens in 2019.
