It is a special evening for Baahubali fans as Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and director SS Rajamouli have taken to the Koffee couch for Karan Johar s Koffee With Karan. This is the first time that a filmmaker from the South Indian film industry is featuring on the show. While it is a big achievement for Karan, it wasn t an opportunity which was served on a platter to him. The filmmaker, whose production house distributed Baahubali 2 earlier this year, reveals that it was a task to get the trio on the sets of the talk show.
Sharing his journey of roping in the directors and the South Indian actors for the show, Karan revealed that he had to beg and plead Rajamouli and Prabhas to come on board. While sharing his tale, Karan also revealed that during a conversation with Rana, the actor told the talk show host that Rajamouli and Prabhas might not end up coming on the show because they are extremely shy personalities. Rana told me it s never going to happen, they are shy, Karan recalled.
In fact, he also shared that this is the first time Prabhas has ever made it to a talk show. The Telugu actor has chosen to stay away from the show for the longest of time because of his shy personality. When Prabhas was asked why he chose not to appear on talk shows he simply said, It s better to watch me on movies.
What a humble person!
Director Rajamouli also shared that he was surprised that an actor could be shy, referring to Prabhas. Well, it surely seems like Prabhas is coming out of his nutshell and Koffee With Karan could just be his first step towards many more talk shows in future!
