KGF was released across 2460 screens in India, with 1500 screens showing the Hindi version, 400 the Kannada version, 400 showing the Telugu one, 100 showing Tamil and 60 screening Malayalam. After opening with a total of Rs 24.50 crore worldwide collections on the first day, the film managed to earn Rs 19.20 crore on day 2, in its Kannada version alone. And to add to it, last last evening, it achieved another feat. The film crossed the $300k mark at the US box office and it now stands as the fastest Kannada movie to have done so.

The Hindi version of the film too showed growth and managed to mint around Rs 3 crore on day 2. And the film has recorded a good total of around 22.20 crore, taking the total earning to Rs 46.70 crore in two days, which is huge for a Kannada film.
With good reviews from critics and audiences, the film seems to be doing quite well as compared to other films that it clashed with, namely, Zero, Maari 2, Antariksham, Seethakanthi and others at the South Indian and Hindi box office. Now we know why the makers as well as Kannada superstar Yash were so confident about the project. It is clearly winning hearts and it is to be seen what heights the Prashanth Neel directorial manages to reach in the coming days. Stay tuned to BL for more updates!
