Emraan Hashmi's Cheat India trailer is all set to release tomorrow and excitement has hit the roof. The film is directed by Soumik Sen, who made Gulab Gang before this. . It is produced by the makers of Neerja and Tumhari Sulu and that's not even the best part about it. What is it then? Emraan Hashmi 2.0! Now, we recently caught an early preview of the trailer and Emraan has our attention like never before. The actor who was last seen in Tigers, which was a riveting account of corporate greed and everything in between, has decided to play the chase and break the mould at the same time. He will be also making a departure from the 'serial kisser' typecast with an interesting, fleshed out character. And yes, you'll see all of that in the trailer. That and a lot of things which we have taken the effort to list down for you. Mind you, he is not here to raise a voice against the prevalent loopholes but make money while they exist. Apart from the newfound grey gravitas, here are 5 things you can expect from the Cheat India trailer:
#Emraan Hashmi is here with a reality check about a subject that we have seen in news headlines but not as a movie venture - the education system and its scams. Certificates in exchange for money; believe us the premise is more complex than it sounds.
#Fans are in for a surprise because Emraan is seen in an avatar never seen before that of a middleman who really thinks of himself as the Robinhood between the haves and the have-nots. A clean moustache, parted hair and a teeka on the forehead to pose as the smart business he plays.
#Not just that, be prepared to look at the actor with a new lens thanks to his razor-sharp acting chops that nobody knew went beyond the murder-mystery concoctions. P.S. You might go like, 'why haven't we seen more of this?' Talk about being cheated!
#The trailer is packed with powerful punchlines and crisp dialogues that went on to add to the persona of the lead in ways more than one. Of course, money bolta hai throughout the trailer but the way Emraan puts it across might get a whistle out of you.
#It has social commentary and the undertone of realism but it's not preachy and doesn't intend to leave you with a message against the malpractice. Unconventional for the run, we say!
Now, we could go on but you'll see for yourself. Apart from Emraan, Shreya Dhanwanthary is playing a pivotal part in the movie and it's all set to hit the theatres on January 25, 2019. So, excited are you for this one? Let us know, tweet to us @bollywood_life!
