The year 2018 was witness to it all! From fancy and quirky experiments to the classy getting classier - fashion-wise we have come a long way. Yes, towards the end, we were all bombarded with pre-wedding shenanigans, weddings and reception galas and a whole lotta shaadi shizz that made for a lot of #OOTD(s) for our favourite stars. But if you look back and a little further, you'd recall the lights coming down, shining upon the brightest stars who carried the star power like they carry their accessories. However, we have already set foot in the new year as 2019 is here. And while it's only the first day of the same, we are thrilled how the rest of the 364 days will pan out. You know again, fashion-wise. Having said that, there are expectations that the past year, with its fashion police-approved trends, has helped set and one can only hope it will be as LIT as 2018 or even more. Kareena Kapoor Khan is a real-life begum and there's no attire she can't rock. But there's a particular style she slayed in and 2019 would be lucky to have it. We are talking about her very many metallic monotones that she wore like the diva that she is.
More pant-suits
Get this, power-dressing is not ever going out of style. Not now, not never and Sonam Kapoor gets half the due for it. In fact, with more variations with bralets and tube-tops and without, it sure seems like she isn't done with it yet.
Classic chokers
If the last part of 2018 came with a lot of B-town shaadis, it also brought onboard sightings of a lot of matching and classic chokers. Be it Anushka Sharma with her old-mine Zambian emeralds or Deepika Padukone's black-stone setting, we would give anything to see more forms, in style of course.
Velvet touch
While we are still talking about weddings, it also saw a lot of zardosi and embellished ensembles that stole the light. But if there was something that took the cake and is poised to take some more, this year is everything with a velvet finish. Take cues from Isha Ambani!
Neon and pop colours
What bling doesn't do a nice neon pop does! And we learnt it the best way when Priyanka Chopra decided to serve lewks wearing a lime suit. Gotta admit, we are betting all our money on it!
