We know, we know, you are probably thinking this is a typo of some sort or a nerd's worst nightmare, but stop rubbing your eyes in disbelief for this has indeed happened. The man behind SpaceX and Tesla Inc., Elon Musk, who the world revers as the face of science and discoveries is a fan of Bajirao Mastani. Read that again.
We are hoping that by now the fact has sunk in. Unbelievable but true. Don't get us wrong here. We aren't taking anything from the brilliance of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film which was indeed a masterpiece. What we are surprised at and desperately want to find out is as to how did Musk discover this gem from amongst the several videos on Youtube. Did someone refer him this? It was only as recently as four days ago, on December 18, that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who acted in the film, shared heartfelt posts about the film, what with it having clocked in three years. And we could see why. Bringing the tale of love and loss to life on screen might not have been an easy feat by any means.
But with Elon's tweet, the newlyweds should have one more reason to celebrate. After all, it is not every day that a world-renowned scientist takes an interest in art from across the seven seas. But then again only art can transcend borders and despite it took three years, we are glad it did.
