With the wedding season at its peak, it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep tabs on all the celeb weddings taking place and their many receptions that follow. But whom are we kidding? We love big, fat, Bollywood shaadis and we can't lie. Bollywood does weddings right, as we have been witnessing over the past few months. And we are not complaining, to say the least. Be it the gorgeous lehengas or the eye-popping trains - we are all for extravagance, which is being doled out in abundance in the Bolly weddings. Coming to our latest obsession - the Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas wedding, which was every wedding planner's dream-come-true.
The East-meets-West wedding was the stuff dreams are made of and it took us quite a lot of time to wrap our heads around all the shenanigans. But we were bowled over and how! As Nick swept PeeCee off her feet, we could only sigh at the sight. But work won't wait and soon it was time for the couple's many reception parties. After a Delhi reception, which was attended by The Indian Prime Minister, the couple flew down to Mumbai to host another two reception parties - one for the Indian media and another for Priyanka's Bollywood friends. All the three parties were quite lavish, as expected.
And from what we are hearing now, it seems like the couple is all set to throw yet another post-wedding bash, but this time in Los Angeles for Nick and Priyanka's Hollywood friends. A source has been quoted in Mid-Day as saying that, "After their honeymoon in Switzerland, Priyanka will fly down to Mumbai for a schedule of The Sky Is Pink. She will join Nick in LA towards the month-end, to host a reception for their friends. Her team is currently doing a recce in Malibu and will soon finalise a venue. It will be a black-tie event, with Priyanka s close friends Kerry Washington, Dwayne Johnson, Ellen DeGeneres, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, on the guest list. Many other Hollywood stars, including her co-stars from A Kid Like Jake and Isn t It Romantic?, and Nick s friends from the music fraternity are also expected. Besides her family, Priyanka s cousin Parineeti Chopra is also likely to fly down for the soiree."
Well, it will be interesting to see if Meghan makes it to the party.
