The IT officials raided several Sandalwood (Kannada) stars including big names like Sudeep, KGF actor Yash, Shivarajkumar, Puneeth Rajkumar, KFG producer Vijay Kirgandur and many others this morning. The raid took place at 8 am and the pictures of the six IT officials went viral on the internet in no time. Though the reason behind the raid has not been announced, several portals have reported that the accumulation of black money in the Kannada industry is the main reason behind it.
As per the latest reports, interrogation is on at Shivrajkumar's residence in Manyata Tech Park. Apparently, 25 sandalwood stars have been raided. Yash, Puneeth Rajkumar, Shivarajkumar, Sudeep and Vijay Kirgandur have not given the statement since the interrogation and verification of the documents are still going on. The raid came as a huge shock as it happened after the humongous success of KGF, which turned out to be the biggest Kannada grosser of all-time. The period-crime thriller has entered the Rs 150 crore club and is soon expected to cross the Rs 200 crore milestone. The IT officials are now looking into properties and assets of actor-producer Rockline Venkatesh and verifying the documents. Till date, this is the biggest raid in the Kannada entertainment industry.
