NTR biopic is one of the highly-anticipated flicks of 2019. The first part of the biopic titled Kathanayakudu is set to hit the screens on January 9 and since the lead actor Nandamuri Balakrishna enjoys a huge fanbase, we are expecting the film to take a great opening at the box office. Apparently, the film has already entered the Rs 100 crore club even before its release as the theatrical and digital rights of the film has been sold at the whopping price of Rs 100 crore. Amazon Prime has bagged the digital rights by paying Rs 25 crore, which is the record price for a Telugu movie.

Apart from Nandamuri Balakrishna, the film features the ensemble star cast of Vidya Balan, Rana Daggubati, Sumanth, Nithya Menen, Rakul Preet and many others. NTR biopic will portray the life of the former chief minister and legendary actor from his entry into films and his progression in politics.
The film is produced by Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Vardhan Induri. Interestingly, they are also co-producing the Hindi version which is titled 1983 biopic. The film is directed by Krish, who is known for delivering films like Gauthamiputra Satakarni, Gamyam and Vedam. His venture Kanche had won the national award for the best feature film in Telugu. The biopic will be released in two parts, which are NTR Kathanayakudu, that will depict the life of N.T. Rama Rao as an actor while the second part, titled NTR Mahanayakudu, will portray the political career
