One of the surprises that Simmba gave to the audience was the presence of Akshay Kumar at the end. The cameo at the end was pretty unexpected but now it is clear that it was a hint to announce the next film of Rohit Shetty, which stars Akshay Kumar as the main lead. The film, a cop thriller is titled as Sooryavanshi. Bollywood buffs will remember that Salman Khan did a film of the same name in 1992. It was in the fantasy-horror genre and was titled Suryavanshi. Today, people remember the film for the blonde locks that Salman Khan sported as the main character. It seems producer Boney Kapoor helped Rohit Shetty in getting the title from Galani.
A source told DNA, "Initially, Vijay was reluctant to part with the title. However, he agreed after Boney Kapoor was roped in to discuss and reason with him to be open-minded and accommodating of a younger colleague in the fraternity, that he agreed. It s another thing that Rohit is spelling his film as Sooryavanshi and not Suryavanshi. Rumours of Shetty and Kumar joining hands were doing the rounds for three months. It seems the project will go on floors from May - June next year and will be a kickass action entertainer.
