Zero occupancy report: SRK-Deepika-Katrina's film takes a GREAT start at the box office

As expected, director Aanand L Rai's Zero opened to a fantastic response at the ticket windows. The star power of Shah Rukh Khan has successfully managed to grab attention of the audience, which resulted in good footfalls in cinema halls. The romantic drama has received between 50 to 55 per cent occupancy in the morning shows across the country, which is a great number since it's a normal working day. In some circuits, the occupancy is around 75 per cent and as the day passes, we are expecting growth in the evening and night shows. Looking at the buzz, we think that Zero will collect between Rs 30 to Rs 35 crore on its first day at the box office.

On the other hand, the Hindi version of Yash-starrer KGF has opened to an average occupancy between 15 to 20 per cent, which was on the cards as no known faces were present in the film. But since the period gangster thriller is getting rave reviews, we are sure that the audience will enter theatres to witness this big-budget flick. Coming back to Zero, the film is receiving below-average reviews from the critics and we hope it doesn't affect the business of the film. Our Editor-in-chief Tushar Joshi gave the film two-and-a-half stars and wrote, "Zero has heart and humour. It also has some fine performances by its three superstar actors. Watch it if you are in a mood for a different take on love with an intergalactic experience."
