Armaan Kohli sure has a way of hitting the headlines the moment we believe we have forgotten him. As per a report in the Times of India, the actor has been arrested by Excise Police for storing 41 bottles of Scotch Whisky, all of which are of foreign brands. The daily explains that the law permits only 12 units of hard liquor bottles including Scotch whisky and rum for a month. Plus, a person is allowed to bring only two bottles of liquor from abroad at a time. Excise officials told the daily that they are still in the process of figuring out how much the bottles cost as they were purchased from abroad. Under section 63(E) of Bombay Liquor Prohibition Act, 1949, the actor can be put behind bars for 3 years and will be levied with a fine decided by the court if he is at all found guilty of the crime.
In the last couple of years, Armaan Kohli has embroiled in a series of incidents. His courtship with Tanisha Mukerji, which started inside the Bigg Boss house, went kaput. Later, his girlfriend accused him of allegedly assaulting him. She later withdrew her complaint. In 2002, he left a motorist seriously injured when he crashed Prado Land Cruiser. His career as an actor has long been forgotten. People remember him through his many controversies.
