The trailer of URI: The Surgical Strike is finally out and boy, it gives us the goosebumps. The film is based on the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army after the deadly attack on the Army base camp in Uri, Kashmir in 2016. It is known as the deadliest attack on security forces in two decades in Kashmir. In retaliation, the Indian Army carried out an attack in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. The trailer is cut out brilliantly. From whistle-worthy dialogues to emotions, action scenes and a tremendous background score, it grabs your attention and how. Vicky Kaushal is in top form as the Army Officer who leads the attack into the area. Yami Gautam is also in good form. We can see Mohit Raina as well in a couple of scenes. Though he does not have any lines, his imposing presence seems enough. The film has been shot largely in Serbia. It resonates the spirit of new India that will not take injustice lying down.
The film will remind you of Hollywood flicks like Zero Dark Thirty, Black Hawk Down and others. The trailer is extremely pacy and you need to see it twice at least. If people start comparing Vicky Kaushal with Sunny Deol after this film, just don't be surprised. The young actor gets into the skin of a soldier with immense finesse. The army scenes also look very realistic. Yami Gautam has one dialogue but that stands out. The film will release on January 11, 2019. Stay tuned to BL for more scoops and updates!
