Today morning, Forbes released the list of top 100 celebs, who made money through the year and the Bhaijaan of Bollywood topped the list for the third time in row. Apart from Bollywood celebs, we saw sports, Television and south movie personalities in the list. Now talking about South celebs, in the last five years, we have seen that many Tollywood, Kollywood and Mollywood stars have earned popularity pan India, thanks to the dubbed versions of their films that we watch on TV.
And if we are talking about south celebs in the list, it shouldn't be surprising that the megastar of Chennai Thalaivar Rajinikanth has attained the highest position among his contemporaries. With an earning of Rs 50 crore, the 67-year old star has grabbed the 14th spot, beating stars like Pawan Kalyan (24), Jr NTR (28), Vikram (29), Mahesh Babu (33) and Nagarjuna (36). In fact, he also toppled Bollywood stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, which is truly remarkable. Rajinikanth had two releases this year - Kaala and 2.0. While Kaala raked in over Rs 200 crore at the global box office, 2.0 is shattering every possible record at the ticket windows and emerging as the new Baahubali of the Indian cinema. The actor will be next seen in Karthik Subbaraj's Petta, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Simran Bagga, Bobby Simha, Megha Akash, Sanath Reddy and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in key roles. The film is set to hit the screens in 2019 during the festive weekend of Pongal and will clash with Thala Ajith's Viswasam at the ticket windows.
