Telugu, Tamil and Kannada movie-buffs will be in for a treat in December. December 21 will witness a clash of the titans in South Indian cinema with some big-ticket films gearing up for release. Varun Tej s Antariksham 9000 KMPH is releasing on December 21, which is touted to be one of the biggest releases in Telugu. And on the other hand is the biopic on former Chief Minister of AP YS Rajasekhara Reddy, which is also prepping for release. Today, we look at the top films in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada that are gearing up for release.
Maari 2:
Dhanush will be back in the business with Maari 2 which is a sequel to the 2015 release with the same title. Directed by Balaji Mohan, Maari 2 stars Dhanush, Sai Pallavi and Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas as the lead actors. Fans are gearing up for celebrations on December 21 as the film gears up for release.
Antariksham 9000 KMPH:
Touted to be the first Telugu film being made on space, Antariksham is also in the race for release on the same day. Starring Varun Tej, Antariksham is directed by Sankalp Reddy who shot to fame with The Ghazi Attack featuring Rana Daggubati. Antariksham will hit the screens on December 21 and is expected to get a great opening.
Yatra:
This film is a biopic on former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Directed by Mahi Raghav, Yatra features Malayalam megastar Mammootty in the titular role, who is back in Telugu cinema after a long gap. Since the film is based on the life of a popular politician in Telugu states, expectations will be quite high on it.
Padi Padi Leche Manasu:
Sharwanand joins hands with acclaimed filmmaker Hanu Raghavapudi for Padi Padi Leche Manasu which is all set for release on December 21st, 2018. The romantic drama also stars Sai Pallavi as the leading lady in it. Sharwanand s career graph in the last few years has been on the rise and it is expected that Padi Padi Leche Manasu will only take it higher.
Seethakaathi:
This Vijay Sethupathi film is much spoken about in Tamil film circles and admirers of the actor are eagerly waiting for it. Directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan, Seethakaathi has Vijay Sethupathi playing an older man and the trailer has caught all the attention of audience. Seethakaathi is releasing on December 20 and is expected to have an edge over other films since it is releasing a day before.
