Twitter India released a list of top 10 most talked about personalities from India and three South Indian stars made it to the list. While the first five positions were occupied by popular politicians, the next five had three popular South Indian film stars. Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan is ranked sixth in the list while Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay stood eighth. Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu is ranked ninth on the list of The Most Talked About Indian Personalities on Twitter. These stars featuring on the list have proved the kind of following they enjoy on digital media. Activities for promotions of films like first look posters, title motion poster and many other things trend hugely on Twitter because of fan clubs proving their strong presence in digital world. Pawan Kalyan was last seen in Trivikram-directorial Agnyathavaasi which released in January this year. Although the film couldn t impress audience, it went on to amass huge collection in the first couple of days. Mahesh Babu s Bharat Ane Nenu was another film that was much spoken about on Twitter as it was one of the biggest blockbusters of Telugu cinema this year. Vijay s recent release, Sarkar, too turned out to be the most talked about film on Twitter this year. Directed by A. R. Murugadoss, Sarkar is one of the biggest hits in Tamil cinema this season. However, this political-drama has had its own share of controversies which might have paved way for the film to be spoken about so much in the digital world.
