The epic run of 2.0's Hindi version makes it clear that the Indian audience loves VFX-laden stories a lot. It was Baahubali first and now 2.0. The film is only getting bigger by the day. The latest box office collections are astounding. In one week, the film has managed to earn Rs 132 crore. The Hindi dubbed version started out slow with the first day bringing in a little over Rs 20 crore. The second day even saw a dip in collections. But it picked up the pace on the third day and earned much more than day 1. Since then, the trending has been superb. It has managed to stay consistent all through the weekdays to come to a great total. By doing so, it has also become the only other dubbed Hindi film, besides Baahubali 2, to make so much money. This morning, we told you how the film has managed to earn Rs 500 crore (worldwide gross). This has become Akshay Kumar's first film to do so and perhaps the same goes for Rajinikanth as well. This proves that you don't really need a holiday weekend to make a mark if the content is right.
But we wonder if 2.0 will make things a bit difficult for Kedarnath which is the upcoming release.
