Yash's KGF is going from strength to strength. The action entertainer is winning over audiences in the South Indian states as well as in the Hindi belt. The film has benefited from good reviews and word-of-mouth publicity from movie buffs. Yash's towering presence, terrific action and great production values have made it a hit. The film got the biggest opening for a Kannada film ever. It has grossed Rs 80 crore at the worldwide box office so far while the Hindi version has made Rs 12.10 crores. Due to the favourable reviews from audiences, screens and shows have been increased in South India as well. In KGF, we have a fabled El Dorado in India in Karnataka's Kolar Gold Fields. It is ruled by a ruthless mining gang-lord who must be eliminated and the man chosen to do the job is Rocky Bhai played by Yash. The film combines a masala commercial script with some real life developments.
