It is now public knowledge that Shah Rukh Khan will be seen playing a dwarf in his next film Zero which also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Needless to say, fans are waiting with bated breath to see how SRK pulls off the feat whose benchmark was set in stone by Kamal Haasan, long back in Appu Raja. But seems like we another contender in the running. And it's none other than Riteish Deshmukh who is all set to play a dwarf in Milap Zaveri's Marjaavaan. He will be seen playing the bad guy in his Ek Villian co-star Sidharth Malhotra starrer and we're hopeful! The romantic action drama also features SOTY 2 star Tara Sutaria along with Rakul Preet Singh. Speaking about Riteish's role, director Milap said, "Riteish's villainous role had to be better than the last time. I decided to raise the bar by scaling him down in size. Even though he is a dwarf, his character is larger than life. The part is extremely wicked with dark humour, great punch lines and some crazy face-off scenes with Sid." While Sidharth has already started shooting, Riteish will join them soon.
Reportedly, Riteish is preparing hard for his character by analysing and observing how someone of that height would walk, gesticulate and run. They are also taking workshops for the act to turn out authentic. The film is produced by T-Series and Emmay Entertainment and is slated to release on 2nd October 2019.
