Kapil Sharma made a comeback to the world of TV on December 29, 2018, with season two of The Kapil Sharma Show. Prior to that, there was a lot of debate on how the audience would accept the star comedian who had a rather turbulent 2017. Market experts spoke about the kind of efforts he did need to take to reinstate himself as the brand he used to be. However, all those doubts were negated when the TRPs of the first week of TKSS 2 came. It got a staggering TRP of 3.7 beating the leader Naagin and the grand finale of Bigg Boss 12. His success has warmed the hearts of many closely associated with the team and its makers. Kapil took to Twitter to thank fans for the tremendous opening.
