Ayushmann Khurrana is the 'Dark Horse' of Bollywood and his latest cover shoot proves he is in for the chase - view pics

2o18 was Ayushmann Khurrana's year for all the right reasons and there are no two ways about it. While there were big Khan films that left people with a bad taste in their mouth, we had a bunch of relatable and extremely entertaining small movies at the box office which left us in awe of the whole process of making good movies. And Ayushmann along with his likes literally spearheaded the crusade for the good of all. Be it the nail-biting and riveting Andhadun which is easily one of the best films of the year, or the family entertainer Badhaai Ho that made a house in everyone's heart, the actor did it all.

And not just craft-wise. His movies made big moolah with Rs 72 crore and Rs 135 crore respectively. Badhaai Ho even went on to become his biggest hit/opener with the maximum return of investment. Now, that says something. But if you're still not convinced, here's a brand new magazine cover that will plaster his winning face in your mood. The actor has graced the cover of GQ's January issue and it has suddenly gotten warmer. The magazine which also called him the 'The Dark Horse' shared the big feat and wrote, "Meet our first cover star of 2019! @ayushmannk's revamped the idea of a Bollywood leading man, and is completely in the zone."

Classy, no?

Here's one more from where that came from. In the issue, he opens up about why he "chose acting over singing, what gets him in the zone and why he believes solitude is vital to nurturing a rich inner life." Check it out here.

Earlier, the rising star had told Hindustan Times, "My gut has never let me down. I look at stories as a layman and an audience member; I make the films that I would like to see myself. It feels great that my choices have been accepted." On the work front, Ayushmann will next be seen in Ekta Kapoor's production venture Dream Girl alongside Nushrat Bharucha in a lead role. It is a comedy entertainer and is being helmed by Raaj Shaandilyaa who is known for writing films like Bhoomi and Freaky Ali.
